From canine and feline vaccinations, de-worming, health checkups, neuters, spays and nutritional consultations, we work hard to minimize health concerns and safeguard the life of your pet. Starting with our Puppy and Kitten Kits, individual health programs are tailored to your pet and include dental and geriatric support for later in life. We house a variety of diagnostic imaging equipment and blood/tissue samples to diagnose and monitor pet health over the long-term.
Effective diagnosis requires careful observation. Our clinic is retrofitted with digital radiography equipment to evaluate cardiovascular, musculoskeletal, gastrointestinal, urinary and reproductive systems. Using digital records allows Black Road to seamlessly display findings, archive data for future reference and forward scans and findings onto other Specialists as part of our Referral Program.
Oral health is paramount to maintaining pet health. At Black Road, in addition to making oral examinations standard in our office calls, we also offer a variety of dental protocols. Our staff are trained in procedures that include scaling, polishing and extractions to prevent disease and systemic infections. Our team is regularly educated on new and evolving techniques for dental care.
Keep in mind that not only do we provide high-quality prescription diets from well-researched, reputable companies; we also have maintenance diets available for puppies through to seniors provided from these same companies. These include dental diets as well as weight loss and joint-care diets. Ask a staff member to recommend an appropriate diet for your pet’s specific needs!
